Welcome to Letters from Paradise!
Letters from Paradise is my passion project… a community blog where people can share stories.
I’ve chosen contributors who have spent some time (at least 3 months) in tropical areas in the Philippines and all around the world. This project is borne out of my sheer love for island living: simplicity, minimalism, and everything that goes with it; from dealing with electricity interruptions to working on your laptop right by the beach. Whether it was a destination that required you to live like a spartan at best, or in a luxurious tropical island, this is for all of you.
Letters from Paradise is meant to inspire (perhaps give you ideas about how to quit your 9-5 or just book that ticket for a long sabbatical), educate (learn about island culture in different places around the world; how people get to do what they love while living in paradise, maybe spark some business ideas of your own), and entertain a curious audience; all while giving readers a glimpse into what it’s like to live in some of the world’s most beautiful tropical destinations whether it’s for 3 months or forever.
Entries are open to everyone; if you’re interested in contributing do get in touch. I’ll provide you with some guidelines to craft your message, but there are no hard and fast rules. We want to hear what you loved the most, how you thrived and/or survived; but most importantly, we want to hear about the most substantial, authentic, life-changing aspects of your experience.
Maybe someday your story will inspire someone else to live their dream. And that, my friends, is when my work has been done. Because if you’re not doing what you love, what’s the point?
This blog is for everyone to enjoy… To inspire, to learn from, and to love. That’s what life should be about.
Got a story you want to share? Get in touch!
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you enjoy reading Letters from Paradise.
